What's a Jorvik Ghost?

A Jorvik Ghost is a unique keepsake, meticulously handcrafted and polished to perfection. Each ghost is a tribute to York's ghostly ambiance and legacy of the Viking invasion. Our ghosts are crafted from non-toxic stone, standing at approximately 10 cm tall. They'll arrive in a beautiful decorative box with a unique Viking character and story.

We are committed to ethical practices, using sustainable materials and ensuring that all our packaging is environmentally friendly and recyclable.

By choosing to showcase our products in their truest form through high-quality images, we aim to give you the best possible visual representation of their look and colour. This approach ensures that you can make your selections with confidence, benefiting from a clear and honest depiction of our offerings, as though examining them in person.

How to Adopt a Ghost

Our ghosts find homes from our mysterious online shop. With our collection constantly evolving, visit us or keep up with online releases via our social media and email alerts. You can visit our shop to see our available ghosts.

A Variety of Ghosts

Our workshop creates a diverse range of ghostly figures, each possessing its own distinctive character. Rest assured, all our ghosts are crafted to premium standards. Similar-looking ghosts may be grouped together in listings, with any minor variations outlined in the description. For particularly unique ghosts, we'll specify in the listing if the photos depict the exact ghost you'll receive, with corresponding adjustments to the price.

Symbols Unveiled

The symbol resembling <> over X originates from the Elder Futhark runes, representing "Jorvik" and "Ghosts," which correspond to "Jera" and "Gebo" respectively. Jera signifies "year" or "harvest," while Gebo symbolizes "gift" or "generosity." Together, they connect us to York's Viking era, embodying the essence of time and exchange from that period.

Ordering Online

We endeavor to fulfill every ghost adoption, maintaining the right to manage orders to ensure everyone has a chance to welcome a ghost into their home. For households with multiple collectors, individual orders are necessary.

Returns & Refunds

We're confident you'll love your ghost, and the feelings will be mutual, but if you need to return your ghost, you must do so within 30 days, in the same condition that it was sent. Please note that the buyer is responsible for return postage costs.

Delivery from Beyond

We deliver our ghosts worldwide, with shipping details provided at checkout. As each ghost begins its journey to you, we appreciate your patience during their transit. For UK deliveries, the item should be with you in 3-5 working days, but in some rare cases, may take up to 1 week. Deliveries outside of the UK should be with you within 2 weeks, but in some cases, may take up to 28 days. Important: Deliveries outside of the UK may also be subject to additional taxes and duties, which are the responsibility of the recipient.

Stay alert for unannounced releases. These surprises occur sporadically, adding an element of mystery to our collections.

Lost Ghosts

Occasionally, our ghosts venture across the UK, lost and looking for a new home. For hints on their locations, follow our social media stories and embark on a quest to find a lost ghost.

Ghostly Etiquette

We discourage purchasing our ghosts solely for resale. Our community values shared enthusiasm and experiences over profit.

Experience Ghost Week in York every October, a celebration filled with ghost hunting and stories. It's a special time for ghost enthusiasts of all ages to connect with York's haunting history.

Looking After Your Ghost

Maintain your ghost's appearance with warm soapy water for cleaning. To keep its essence intact, avoid positioning them in direct sunlight.
