Born in York’s long memory of Jorvik, our work bridges past and present. Each piece is a respectful nod to Viking-age craft, reimagined in stone for today.
Our Ghosts
Our ghost ornaments stand at approximately 10 cm tall and are carved from stone and mineral materials described using widely used trade names in the gemstone trade. We source these materials in good faith from trusted suppliers, and natural variation in colour, banding and inclusions is expected and celebrated.
We work across a broad palette of stones — for example jasper, obsidian, garnet, moss agate and fire agate. Where a listing is marked “Solo Ghost”, the photographs show the exact piece you’ll receive. For what’s coming next (and what we’ve already released), explore our Releases.

Jera and Gebo – our JG monogram rendered in Elder Futhark runes.
Our initials “JG” are expressed in Elder Futhark as Jera (ᛃ) and Gebo (ᚷ) – a respectful nod to early Norse runic tradition.
Jera is commonly associated with the cyclical nature of life, growth and earned results.
Gebo is commonly associated with gift-giving, balance and reciprocity.
These are cultural interpretations rather than guarantees of outcome.
The Legacy of Jorvik
During the 9th-century Viking invasion and settlement, Jorvik became a thriving hub of Norse culture, trade and craft. The use of early runes in our design language connects each ornament to this history, infused with a sense of adventure and discovery, without claiming to be archaeological reproductions.
Just as Vikings brought treasured materials to Jorvik, our ornaments, with their natural colours and banding, carry echoes of that period. For example, garnet appears widely in early medieval jewellery across Northern Europe, including finds from Scandinavia and the British Isles. We draw inspiration from this wider material culture while creating something distinctly our own.
Tales of a Viking
A short piece of original fiction inspired by Jorvik’s past.
As you gaze upon this realm, perhaps wondering about the peculiar notion that a ghost could choose its companion through the ether of cyberspace,
let me share my tale. My name is Eirikr the Silent, once a blacksmith in the ancient city of Jorvik.
My life was intertwined with the clanging of hammer on anvil, forging weapons that bore the spirit of the North. My craft was my voice, rendering me
a man of few words, thus earning my moniker.
In the year 866, amidst the chaos of the Viking invasion, my existence was forever altered. It was not the sword that claimed me, but the fire of my
forge. A stray spark ignited my world, leaving behind only ashes and the whispers of my legacy.
For centuries, I have lingered, watching silently as the world transformed, my presence felt only by those attuned to the echoes of the past.
Then I found you. Out of all the spectral figures, I chose you. Not because of a shared profession or ancient arts, but because you, who find joy in
mending the broken, restoring life to the forgotten, resonate with me. In this modern age, you are a beacon of the past's enduring stories, a
custodian of memories.
As Eirikr the Silent, I find new purpose in your dedication to preserving the tales embedded in objects long forgotten. I imbue this ornament with the
spirit and sentiments of a Viking, a symbol of our shared reverence for history and commitment to us.
I imbue this ornament with the spirit of a Viking, a symbol of our shared reverence for history. Through time and space, a connection is formed, a
story waiting to be discovered.
Craft and memory still matter. If our ghosts speak to you, it is because you carry the story forward.
